The Parekraf Agency facilitated the co-exhibitors with an exhibition stand as wide as 54 square meters along with supporting facilities in the hope of being able to compete in promoting Jakarta as a Meeting, Incentive, Convention & Exhibition (MICE) city.

Jakarta Parekraf Agency Head, Andhika Permata said the Jakarta Provincial Government's participation in 2023 ITB Asia is part of the steps to strengthen its strategic position in the economic sector after no longer being the National Capital.

"Jakarta is optimistic that it will remain the main investment and business destination in Indonesia, namely Meetings, Incentives, Conventions & Exhibitions or MICE," he expressed, Wednesday (10/25).

He went on to say that the MICE industry in Jakarta not only plays an important role in business aspects and official meetings but also has a positive impact on leisure and entertainment aspects. He assessed MICE was able to attract participants from both the archipelago and abroad to come to Jakarta.

"When MICE activities in Jakarta are intense, it won't only be the business aspect that will increase, but it will have a positive impact on the leisure and entertainment aspects. Principally, MICE can attract tourists to come to Jakarta and explore all destinations and enjoy a holiday in Jakarta," he furthered.

For three days, the co-exhibitors are expected to be able to promote Jakarta as a world-class MICE destination city at the 2023 ITB Asia event.

"Convince the world, they can convey Jakarta as the Heart of MICE at ITB Asia," he added.

As for the information, ITB Asia is held by Messe Berlin (Singapore) Pte Ltd and supported by the Singapore Exhibition and Convention Bureau. 2023 will be the 16th ITB Asia event held in collaboration with MICE Show Asia and Travel Tech Asia.

This collaboration covers the travel industry such as Leisure, MICE, Corporate, and Travel Technology. With three events in one event, ITB Asia has become the largest travel exhibition in Asia.

ITB Asia is the leading travel trade exhibition in Asia. It is an annual event in the form of a trade exhibition and Business to Business (B2B) convention and is a favorite for the travel industry and tourism industry in Asia Pacific, such as its parent event ITB Berlin.
